Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada
County makes a positive difference in the lives of children and youth in our
community through a professionally-supported, one-to-one relationship with
a caring and responsible individual. These individuals
offer support to children’s growth and development through nurturing
relationships, leading to positive outcomes. We are an affiliate of Big
Brothers Big Sisters of America, a nationally acclaimed organization with over
100 years of successful experience in the youth mentoring field. Our local BBBS agency has been serving Nevada County children since 1981, and expanded its services to the Truckee and North Tahoe region in January 2008.

Project Y.E.S. is a mentoring program designed to engage, motivate and guide at-risk youth and juvenile offenders towards an extraordinary vision for personal and community excellence.
